This is the little brother to Ochre Barn . A new build on the same land , standing on the footprint of an old derelict outbuilding , also designed by Carl Turner architects . Pre inulated panels where made off site then the whole thing was put up in just over a week . Once the basic shape was up on went all the super minimal details , hidden draining roof , doors windows and cladding . Then the interior was fit out in a skin of O S board , floor , walls and ceiling . The tiny budget meant clever solutions to make the design work . Ended up with a crazy art building which was shortlisted for Architects Journal small projects award and got international recognition .
