ochre barn

Worked as the main carpenter on this derelict Victorian Norfolk barn conversion . It had stood empty for years so there was every thing to do . The project spanned several years and its scale was massive . The outside was left pretty much untouched so the development didnt intrude on its surroundings . Jobs included internal timber frame / partitions , fitting the enormous doors and windows , building the ” pod ” and the rest of the OSB crazy fit out of the interior and furniture . I lived on the site for a big part of the job and even set up a tipi in the grounds near the end off the job . This was another Carl Turner Architects job which won world wide claim and received much industry press for its design .
